Occasionally I've wanted to pre-pay for some service so that things could stay up for some long-ish period of time. But doesn't really work, in the end, since things need maintenance. Better plan tends to be to have something that's easy to turn over, and easy to duplicate. E.g., when I scanned my grandmother's cookbooks, I immediately got the scans out to various people. It was kind of interesting, too, when someone asked about a recipe for something they remembered, and I tracked it down. But if I were to make a website for such content, I'm not at all sure it'd survive me, beyond whatever made its way into the Internet Archive. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: Storm BBS (21:2/108) .
