When I first moved out of Louisville in 1997, some of the smaller towns didn't have Taco Bell yet. We had a couple of Taco John's here. Those supposedly originated from Wyoming or somewhere in that area. At any rate, their food was better than Taco Bell but also a little more expensive. At some point around 2000, we got our first Taco Bell. It was a kiosk inside a local Super America (now Speedway) gas station. A few years later, we got a couple of stand alone Taco Bells, one on each side of town near the interstate. Between their cheaper prices, and multiple local Mexican restaurants (at least three of which are really good and not too expensive), Taco John's eventually left the city. That is too bad as I miss their Potato O'les, taco burgers, and a couple of other things they had that Taco Bell doesn't. They were both not close enough to the interstate to get any passerby traffic. --- MagickaBBS v0.15alpha (Linux/armv7l) * Origin: possumso.fsxnet.nz * SSH:2122/telnet:24/ftelnet:80 (21:4/134) .
