I was more of a Canonet shooter back in the day, but I liked the long exposures possible with the Electros. Walking around with a rangefinder was a nice experience, felt like shooting with a $30 Leica. Now the prices on film cameras have gone through the roof, alas. GO> Analog is very expensive these days, but nothing can challenge a analog GO> film photo. Agreed. I used to use York Photo online, they started at $1.99 for processing, prices crept up to $4.99, then Snapfish bought them and discontinued film processing. I'm seeing interest in old digicams now, people are shooting with old CMOS-sensor cams from the early 2000s and playing with the results. I think they're fun because of the limitations - you can concentrate on capturing light and composition with anything and don't need a 20 megapixel camera to do so. My current favorite is a Nikon Coolpix 995 from around 2001. I always wanted one but couldn't afford it. Picked one up for $35 in good condition with a wide angle adapter, 4 filters, cables, 2 batteries and charger. It's a conversation piece when other photographers see me with it. ....
