My sister just had her gallbladder removed and she was very sore around her belly and the incisions. She said the only thing to do was give it time. Time was the only thing that helped it. That and make sure you keep a pillow nearby so that if you need to cough, make sure you are clutching the pillow to your chest! Especially if you end up having a coughing fit. You can easily tear the inside work up and cause extreme pain!
