I had mine out in September laparoscopically. I was lucky enough to have no real pain at all, I was given a prescription for Hydromorphone HCL which I didn't end up needing, I just used Advil+ instead (Ibuprofen + Acetaminophen). The surgical wounds kind of felt more like cat scratches, which is when I knew it was time to take another Advil, after about three or four days I didn't even need those anymore. I was told no heavy lifting for at least two weeks which got me out of kitty litter duty! ;) Now everything seems to be back to normal & most importantly I can eat bacon again. I do have four small scars on my abdomen which are still red even ~five months later, I was told they can take about a year to fully heal. Jay ....
