I've primarily used film over the years. When I got a digital  
camera to explore "convenience", the camera (Canon SureShot)  
simply gave up the ghost after a few years of use; the electric  
lens cover simply stopped opening.  :(  Since then, I simply  
stopped taking photos as a creative hobby for other reasons.

Today, most of my photography is for practical purposes:  
documenting damage to shipments/parcels at work, advertising,  
or for just plain documentation.  Today's smartphone cameras  
seem to have very good picture quality.

When I was little, I was given permission to use this family  
camera as my first:

Next.. I eventually got a Kodak Instamatic 124.
Then, it was an SLR of some kind (forget the brand).
Then, it was another SLR, Canon EOS (forget the actual model..I  
can't even find the camera at this moment!)
Then, it was a Minolta Maxxum 3xi, which I still have too.

But YOUR gallery has many interesting pieces. I'll have to  
revisit to look at some more.  You clearly have a good eye for  
the composition, creativity, the unusual, and perspective.

We truly live in world where we have beautiful locals and no  
shortage of visual treats.
