In my case I have always run on port 23 and don't bother with the 'press escape twice' thingy either. Mystic will auto block the IPs of bad actors after a few attempts and so far (touch wood) things have been OK for the most part.

I do get regular callers to the BBS but I guess I'm a bit of an 'old timer' now? Dunno. I know I feel I'm an old timer at work now - sigh :)
