Moving water is really hard, unfortunately.  One of the most
dangerous outcomes of climate change will be desertification:
previously arable land will cease to be viable for agriculture
and become inhospitable to human habitation.  That will in
turn spurn a lot of movement of people; this is the sort of
thing that causes wars.

A lot of people don't understand deserts; they are areas of
climatic extremes, not just "hot and sandy."
