Unless they are doing it a different way, then it was really bad for you.  It was on the news, I remember my parents talking about it at the time.  We even had some left and they threw it out.  I was younger so at the time I remember thinking what a waste of delicious sugar!! 

I don't remember exactly what it was reported as, just the situations.
