Personally, I prefer text menus over trying to figure out what Om> Bo> icon means. Om> Om> I can add tooltips. Icons have the benefit of beeing easier to Om> recognize. Once I get a crate for i18n I'll may switch to text. Om> My personal opinion is that icons are more confusing, unless a very tried and true icon us used (floppy disk for save, scissors for cut, etc). In theory they are supposed to be easier, in practice, not. I hate having to over over an icon to find what it is for. I don't add :23 anymore - I suspect that's missing in your URL. Om> Add that and it should work. I'll fix that. Om> Om> Om> boraxman around Sunday, December 11th... Yep, that fixed it. Om> Bo> The choice if rust was an interesting choice. The source tree after Om> Bo> compilation was 1.6GB!!! That is not including files in the ~/.cargo Om> Bo> directory that were also added (its 550MB). The binary itself after Om> Bo> stripping was 29MB, which is OK. Om> Om> Rust binaries are not well known for beeing small. But for beeing secure Om> and fast. The release version on my system is ~11MB fyi. Om> Yeah, I find rust seems to have a lot of zealots who think that rewriting things in rust is the way to go. I briefly looked at the language, and it seemed to have promise, but the issues with it, such as those I mentioned led me to stick with C++. I think 11MB for a program which has CRT emulation is decent. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: Agency BBS | Dunedin, New Zealand | agency.bbs.nz (21:1/101) .
