I loved the beer scene in England, you'd have pubs owned by regional 
breweries and get beer made locally.

I lived in the SOMA area of San Francisco, and one bar was 5 blocks from the 
Anchor brewery. Their Anchor Steam beer tasted significantly better than 
anywhere else, and I'm sure it went straight into the keg and down the 
street.
