Ditto. Wanting to understand how things work and to fix things that are 
broken are ingrained into me, and IT has been one complex system after 
another to understand and to make work - first it was databases and 
application programming, then complex telecommunications systems, then 
servers, then networking, then back to telecom, supporting technical teams 
(the most complex system of all...) and now cloud services, virtualization 
and automation. There's always something new on the horizon.
