Yep, I think it's cool that BBSes are still around -- many accessible by Internet only these days as dial-up isn't that common any more.

The amount of work of setting up and maintaining one might have decreased in some ways, but the challenge of getting things running smoothly is still there, as is the challenge of getting new users.

Maybe it's less of a "competition" these days, as people get their files and lots of other stuff from the Internet, but there still is something special about BBSes...
