Having programs installed by default is different than trying to get you to purchase something. I've never felt compelled to pay for those extra apps or thought they were trying to make me purchase them, but maybe that's because I don't really pay much attention to them.. I'll consider paying for something if I use it, but those are typically not apps I use. I don't really fault Microsoft for doing that - It seems every OS and computer maker installs stuff they think you might use (and want to pay for), but you aren't forced to. ap> And every few weeks it asks me to "finish setting up my computer" where ap> it insists I use edge and reset to the "prefered browser settings" I've heard that but I haven't really experienced that myself. ap> To me it's kind of disappointing that the OS you pay for has all the ads, I've heard that too, but I haven't been seeing ads in Windows 10 or 11 on my PC.. ap> I don't mind windows 11, it's much nicer than windows 10, but the ap> hardware requirements suck. I think the only weird hardware requirement in Windows 11 is the TPM hardware. It seems if it weren't for that, Windows 11 would run on a lot more computers.
