The problem with anecdotal "evidence" is that it is so easy to bring up
alternate examples. My first day at Jabber Inc, my first task was to remove
Windows from the laptop I was given and install debian on it. Everyone on
the tech side of the company ran linux, even after we were purchased by
Cisco. My next two employers after that were dominated by linux
workstations (Ubuntu and centos, mostly). The Linux desktop is here, just
not in places where you've had exposure too.
