That's what we have going here as well.  A 4 tuner box which gets worryingly 
hot, but were told that that's normal.  We put thick rubber feet on the 
bottom and made sure it has plenty of space on all sides to that it can 
breathe.

We mostly watch pre-recorded stuff so we can skip though commercials, about 
the only time we watch live TV is for things like elections or other 
important events.

We have a "stacked" antenna with one pointing towards Toronto and the other 
towards Buffalo, it works well enough though it can sometimes cut out during 
bad weather.
