In addition to the HDHomerun, I also got a Hauppauge PCI Express tuner card for my Plex system, so it would have a tuner that's always accessible.  The downside is, the Hauppauge tuner doesn't tune in ATSC 3.0 channels..  Plex still doesn't yet have support for ATSC 3.0 audio though, which is frustrating. With the HDHomerun, Plex can get the video for ATSC 3.0 channels but not the audio.
