We have had below normal temperatures here in the other hemisphere, too.
It is Autumn and we have had a couple of early frosts.  They are not
calling for any precip, but it could get could enough to snow a couple of
mornings from now.

Today has been an exception as we are forcasted to be at, or slightly above
normal for the high.  Tomorrow will be 15-20F degrees cooler.

As it is just Spring there, I am guessing you are in what would be the
equal to our early April.  We do sometimes get snow that late, but not
normally.  More likely, if it is frozen precip, to be sleet or hail by then.
