I set up a Proof-of-Concept Linux desktop at a large internet company back 
in 2012 as an alternative for our developers. It was pretty nice, even got 
Evolution talking to our on-premise Exchange environment, but the cost of 
duplicating patching and managing two different distros (Fedora and Ubuntu) 
killed it.
