Basically you can configure a computer to shutdown if it stops sensing the other computer is up. A computer is designated as MASTER and the other as SLAVE. The SLAVE may be configured to shut down if MASTER disappears. The danger is that MASTER could go down for reasons not related to power outages. SLAVE may also be configured to recive signals from MASTER, which is a bit dangerous in itself.
