The BBS thing has always had a problem with the "big fish in a small pond" syndrome, which in turn led to (and evidently continues to lead to) a rigid mentality with respect to both a sense of ownership and ways of doing things. This is, indeed, off-putting and was one of the big reasons why a lot of folks left the BBS scene and never looked back once the Internet became a thing. Sadly, as in many things, many of the more reasonable voices in the community also fell casualty to the effect. It's fun to goof about with some of the technology, but mostly out of nostalgia, which can be a dangerous thing. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: Agency BBS | Dunedin, New Zealand | agency.bbs.nz (21:1/101) .
