It would have been even nicer if this never started in the first place.

Yeah. I would be nice though if people could be nicer though. People complain that BBSing is dying and then when a new person comes along full of beans and keen to do things, instead of a polite netmail explaining what might be a better way to do things they get a public blast of rudeness.

MissChief is right, there is a trend, but perhaps not limited to BBSing.
