I suppose I avoid reading it, but I have it on my BBS largely due to its history.

And, well, not that I really avoid reading it, either -- I'm just not getting anywhere near the echoes where people post political opinions.

Though this discussion does make me wonder if I should be changing my Fidonet address. Since, while I'm glad to work with Poindexter Fortran if/when I ever need to, and my US address would still be in California, my BBS's server is in Chicago, and I live in Germany.

But Fidonet was not really designed with people like me and present-day infrastructure in mind.
