If I'm away, I'll use a laptop, problem solved, but if I'm in a highly mobile
situation, that's not a practical option.

I'm not a big fan of interactive posting.  I discovered QWK (and later
Bluewave) offline mail in my first year of BBSing and never looked back. :)
