Things get compiled under the /sbbs directory, and *NOTHING* else in the file system is touched. No idea what you could have done to "destroy" anything. Maybe you were running it as 'root', but even that wouldn't have affected anything outside of /sbbs. Sorry, but your story doesn't hold water. ....
