Yeah still poor planning, I agree.  At least the new estate I'm in already has
a bus stop at the end of the street (probably 200m walk at most) on an existing
bus route that leads both to central Bendigo and Eaglehawk - a major suburb on
the north side of town.

That sucks.  And of course, Melbourne Airport has been waiting 50 years for a
train and counting...
