My current gig I got because a former manager reached out to me "to see where I was at" a year after we were both laid off when the company worked for was sold. He's a good guy and I enjoyed working for/with him despite what happened with the company being sold. You never know when someone may reach out "to see where you're at". If opportunity knocks, it doesn't hurt to hear what it has to say. As you said, be loyal to people, that can pay off. It certainly did in my case. Jay ....
