Yes.. a BIG surprise to many who only carry debit cards too!

Visa and Mastercard payments worked ok though.

Many people were desparately trying to pull cash out of their  
bank accounts to get through the weekend.

...so they had redundancy? Hard to believe, especially since the  
whole shebang collapsed like it did.

My guess is that they will blame it on an unauthorized software  
update or something.
