So nothing for a DOS system -or NetWare-, I guess.

Maybe. But that's not worth the hassle for me.
In ESXi, it's working and even swapping disks is working fine from the  
remote console application.

At the moment, I'm using ESXi on an old 'Lenovo M92p tiny' and for my  
retrocomputing needs, it's just fine :)
I hope this system keeps on working a while.
