I've tried.

On my MS-DOS machines, I found the best term program for my systems is Commo.

On a whim one day, I tried to see if the author was still there.  I thought I
should send him the Shareware fee for this progam since I was using it.  Sadly,
it seems that he has passed away.

I've done a little research on some other shareware vendors from 30 years ago
and they are pretty much gone today.
