I have to agree with you there. 

All throughout recorded history, there's evidence that humans have struggled to get along peacefully. It should not be surprising that the same struggle exists, and perhaps is magnified, now that anyone can communicate with anyone else in the world, at any time.

I had mistakenly assumed that such a small community as today's BBS-land would not have the same issue, given that we all share a common interest. But as you say, people are people, and not everyone is going to get along.

Lesson learned.
