This is because Will SMith oscar slap and Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard were news
when they were released. Meanwhile the news with Ukraine were "Ukraine is being
invaded," which were fresh when Ukraine was invaded. Now the news are kind of
stale. Nobody in the general audience wants to hear that some army advanced 1
kilometer this month. Not that it matters if they did because a) at this point
the news would be unreliable and b) people who wants to access that information
has information outlets covering it out of mainstream channels anyway.

Seriously, Middle East news channels were covering the war with much much less
than ours did.
