Even though I let my yearly subscription expire with ArcaOS...can still get updates with YUM. As you pointed out...eCS was more trouble than it was worth. On the other hand...ArcaOS has usually delivered the same experience I get with Windows.

Been trying to get ReactOS working...but it is the same experience with that as you got with eCS. Like the idea of it...but after 15-20 or so years in alpha...not sure if they will ever get it working.
