I think that sometimes these days you can actually get one cheaper that is already assembled, although perhaps not with the exact parts you desire. I'll continue doing my own. I can say that I've never purchased a copy of Windows, other than a couple of laptops that came with it, which I'm sure was added in to the cost of the laptop. The "Windows tax". :-( ....
