I've been listening to the soundtrack to the Sound City documentary that 
Dave Grohl did. He bought the mixing board from Sound City and put it in his 
studio, then invited some "alums" to record a soundtrack on it.

He's got most of the Foos, Queens of the Stone Age, Trent Reznor, Lee Ving 
from Fear, Robert Levon Been from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Rick 
Springfield, Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney and a host of others.

Rick Springfield jamming with Dave Grohl was pretty impressive.


.... It's all more or less the same.. but it's all different now.
