Ahhh not so.. depends on the CPU you're going to be using. The M1 can emulate
faster than Intel CPUs but its not at the level of being able to outrun AMD
silicon although it'll give it a good shake.  Performance degradation in the
user space in minimal.  Obviously M1 native applications will run faster
though.
