But, these commercials are simply meeting the Mc> minimum legal requirement for advertising. Just because it's a possible Mc> side effect doesn't mean it's a likely one. A Doctor friend once told me about these disclosures. She said that, if during the drug trial, an unexplainable thing happens, it is required to be listed as a possible side effect. So, if some new arthritis cream has someone develop massive hair loss that can't be explained and even if the product was never applied to that area, it must be listed as a "possible" side effect, since they don't know for sure whether that effect was in any way influenced by the product. You'd actually have to dig into the data to find the actual accurace rate for those "side effects" to see if they really are anything to worry about. What I find hilarious is when you have a product deigned to treat something minor (oh, like something to derease freckles or something) and some of the "side effects" listed are paralysis and death. Even though I know why that may be listed, I still get a chuckle and say "yeah, I think I'll keep my freckles, thanks." --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: The Ratrace Losers (21:3/166) .
