I suspect I'm not enough of a rev head to find watching at the track that
interesting.. IT can be a good day, but you don't really see a lot of the
race just snap shots as they come past.  Having said that, I've been to
Bathurst 3 or 4 times... in the early 90's.  It was obviously good enough to
go back... weirdly it flooded each year I went, save one.

Racing School eh.. sounds fun, way back when I was still a SINK, I spent a
track day at the Phillip Island track.  I wasn't particularly good, to young
and dumb with little other experience but it was a fun day.
