Once in awhile I won’t be able to select text but I haven’t been able to
figure out why that is. 

The majority of the time, the typical putty-style copy/paste works. Highlight
text in Syncterm automatically goes to the clipboard, and then paste however
the other program likes. In the opposite direction, to paste something from the
clipboard into Syncterm just right-click.
