It's a paid product, but I fully encourage you to check out PrimoCache's 30-day trial. The license is not per-computer, it's per customer; if you do a format, you can email them and ask for a license reset. However, you can't use the license on multiple computers simultaneously, unless you've paid for a multi-use licence. While SATA certainly is faster than ye olde IDE interface, it is just as slow when compared to the NVME interface, which is pretty exclusively SSD territory. This is why I still use PrimoCache for my platter drives in T3H_B33ST. RAM (and NVME SSDs) will *always* be faster than a HDD, but the per-GB price crown still belongs to the HDD...
