The problem with Monopoly is that all the strategy and politics necessary to win are done very early on, and then players just move round and round and round for hours no end. By the first half an hour everybody has all the properties they can get and has traded them with other players if possible. Past that point there is no more strategy. Just mindlessly wandering on the board. Also, it has player elimination, which is ok for short games but awful for long ones. If Francisco is kicked out early, then he may have to have a long nap while the rest of the players keep at it having fun. If it can be called fun :-) I never heard of the Doom boardgame. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- SBBSecho 3.15-Linux * Origin: Palantir * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL * (21:2/138) .
