I used to like Monopoly when I was younger because you could play with money, but as an adult, the game is lacking.  It's usually obvious before the end who is winning, and when you're winning, people just give up.  The game rarely goes to completion.

I do like the Doom boardgame, Cluedo (what we call Clue in Australia) is pretty good.  I don't actually have many boardgames.
