I used to visit Speedway for the time trials. Enjoyed eating donuts at Long's, and stopping at the Mug and Bun for dinner after a long day at the track. Couple of other places I used to go, that are not there anymore, were Racer's Pizza in Brownsburg, and Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria. Racer's became another pizza place that was also good, but the last time I was in Brownsburg it was gone, too. I'd stay at the Red Roof off of Crawfordsville Road, which was cheap but usually clean... I think it got dozed for one of the Interstate projects. ....
