Yes, I think most/all of the American steakhouses have their own version of the "bloomin onion" these days, as it's a pretty popular appetizer. My personal favorite is the Longhorn Steakhouse franchise, at least for the "chain" type restaurants. You can certainly get a better (and more expensive) steak at specialty "high-brow" places, but the Longhorn is pretty good. I actually don't care much for the Outback. ....
