And Olympic Park in Melbourne was used as key sporting facility for decades, until being replaced by newer facilities some 50 years later - that site is still a sporting oval and public park). I remember my younger sister travelling to Melbourne and training to dive in the 1980s at the same venue that was used in the 1956 Olympics.
