The rules are guidelines and not a constitution that can be enforced on the administration to take literally. I perceive Avon's non-moderation much more appropriate than using this thread for politics about the politics rule. It's a f*ing war started by one man because he feels entitled to kill people and invade a country. People and Europe and Russia still remember real war with millions of people dying and the cold war. We also remember Chernobyl blowing up. When I read about increased radiation levels in the Chernobyl area it reminds me that the war is not that far away. Should we not talk about it, because everything about people is somehow political? Should we protect war and mad men by the no-politics rule? I'm all for changing the rule to "no US politics". Or just de-list a few people and be able to have saner political discussions. I also don't see why (virtually) kicking the crap out of anyone supporting warmonger Putin is a bad thing. (IMHO) The essence of the rule is: 1. Keep your intolerant authoritarian harmful political ideas out of fsxnet. 2. Don't reply to such postings – let the thread dry out. Don't start a flame war, don't try to win the debate. Unfortunately 2 does not always work. (FTNs have no moderation tools unlike a web forum. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages). So what was the (unpolitical) intention of you post? --- * Origin: They're made out of meta (21:3/102) .
