It's expensive for sure.  But if host cities can manage to utilise existing
infrastructure, or use the games as an opportunity to invest in sporting
infrastructure, something of value can come from it.  Similarly, if the
village, etc, can be utilised afterwards, then all the better.

For the 2026 Commonwealth Games, our state government has an interesting idea -
to host the majority in regionmal areas.  If we get those games, some sports
will definitely be hosted here.
