There seem to be a lot of people in the US who believe that going onto DST makes the Sun stay out longer, and that staying on it year-around somehow means more total hours of sunlight. Not just more when they want it, but more total. Those folks may also believe that the Sun revolves around the flat Earth, too, for all I know. :) ....
