Ar> Ar> The Judas Priest dudes must be 80 years old already and they are still Ar> metalling. NOt only that, but the latter albums fucking rock. Ar> Gonna show my age here. Saw JP in concert in 1982! Best concert of the year that year. Iron Maiden opened for them, they too were unreal that night. Madison Square Garden that night was burning!! That year I saw JP, Van Halen Concert totally blew! They all were in their really bad drinking times! Michael Anthony was chugging Jack Daniels non-stop most of the night, Eddie Van Halen would come off stage sit on the side do a solo and chug down a bottle of JD. Meanwhile David Lee Roth God knows what he was doing that night. Unfortunately, or fortunately for me my tickets were so bad at the Meadowlands in NJ that I was stage left and saw all the antics off stage. DLR's vocals were worse then they are today he was so wacked! I also saw what was to be the first of the 200000 Who Farewell tours, The Clash and David Johansen (better known later as Buster Poindexter) He wasn't bad, the Clash rocked the house! But The Who didn't want to leave the stage, saw them at Shea Stadium in NY the concert ended around 1am... Saw some others at local places, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Saw Springsteen do a impromptu set at the Stone Pony that same year. The early 80's were the time for music and concerts, Saw The Cars in 81, Twisted Sister at a local dive bar, Mountain at the same Dive bar. All in all best concert I saw back then was Judas Priest! They rocked the house when Rob Halford rode out on to the stage on a motorcycle he brought the house down!! ....
