I've got it running on my bedroom Pi. Feels pretty much the same as the old
version, to me. Upgrading was easy, don't worry about it.

Yes, do a backup, just in case. :) But really, the upgrade is painless.

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt dist-upgrade
